Recent Changes

After taking Education Medial and Technology, I have found so many new ways to incorporate technology into my classroom. Prior to taking this class I though that the only was to have technology in your classroom was to have students use the computers to complete assignments and for the teacher to use the Smart Board and the Promethean Board. However, this class has shown me numerous different avenues that I can use in my own classroom to make it more "21st century!"
Google Reader. Google is a great website for teachers to use and explore. It has numerrous resources that teachers can use and incorporate into lessons!
Teachers can also use teachnology by putting books on podcasts so that struggling readers can hear the book as they follow along. The podcasts can be saved onto Ipods or left on to computers for students to access. This class has taught me various ways to integrate technology into my classroom! There are so many different routes that teachers can take to use technology in my classroom!

All of the various projects that we have completed in this class have taught me various ways to bring technology into the classroom. For example, I never knew that Google had so many different applications that were available for teachers to use. Teachers are able to access apps that are directly related to education, for example Google Reader.

This video is a fractions rap that I have used with the 5th grade class that I taught at CREC. The children loved the video and were recalling parts of the rap and understanding the concepts that it had addressed!
This video gives a breif history of the US. It is a great resource for all history teachers to use!

The following video is put out by Opperation Respect. This is a video that should not only be shown to students but also to family members and all educators. The mission statement of Opperation Respect is to assure each child and youth a respectful, safe and compassionate climate of learning where their academic, social and emotional development can take place free of bullying, ridicule and violence.
