After taking Education Medial and Technology, I have found so many new ways to incorporate technology into my classroom. Prior to taking this class I though that the only was to have technology in your classroom was to have students use the computers to complete assignments and for the teacher to use the Smart Board and the Promethean Board. However, this class has shown me numerous different avenues that I can use in my own classroom to make it more "21st century!"
All of the various projects that we have completed in this class have taught me various ways to bring technology into the classroom. For example, I never knew that Google had so many different applications that were available for teachers to use. Teachers are able to access apps that are directly related to education, for example Google Reader. Google is a great website for teachers to use and explore. It has numerrous resources that teachers can use and incorporate into lessons!
Teachers can also use teachnology by putting books on podcasts so that struggling readers can hear the book as they follow along. The podcasts can be saved onto Ipods or left on to computers for students to access. This class has taught me various ways to integrate technology into my classroom!
